Benchmark Consulting Releases IRIS™2.7 in Support of Open Application Modernization Standards
Atlanta, Georgia and Montreal, Quebec - Benchmark Consulting, a leading global provider of modernization solutions for legacy information systems and business processes, today announced support for the open standard OMG KDM repository within its application modernization platform, IRIS™.
In the latest release of its flagship integrated application modernization platform, Benchmark Consulting will support the Object Management Group (OMG) standard Knowledge Discovery Meta-model (KDM). The KDM is an open standard that defines a model-driven view of application meta-data. The standard provides the structure for detailed analysis of application environments relative to data flow, processes, functions, code issues, interfaces and more. The KDM offers modernization vendors the ability to exchange system information and guarantee clients, mainly in heterogeneous environments, that solutions based on the standard will be portable and interoperable.
Within IRIS™2.7 is the ability to thoroughly analyze and decompose a legacy application environment and represent the system as a KDM model. Furthermore, IRIS™ can perform analysis and transformations on that model in order to migrate, translate, re-factor or simply document the application.
