Benchmark Consulting Acquires Leading Application Modernization Firm
Atlanta, Georgia - Benchmark Consulting today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase Castor Technologies, a leading application modernization services company based in Montreal and Tampa. Upon closing, the acquisition will establish Benchmark Consulting’s portfolio application modernization services as the clear choice for companies seeking to optimize the value that application transformation brings to business.
Castor Technologies is the developer of an application modernization platform suite. This suite, IRIS™ (Intelligent Rejuvenator for Information Systems), is Castor Technologies’ flagship integrated product for porting, migration and full legacy transformation. IRIS™ is a set of tools that automates legacy application transformation and reduces the overall migration effort.

Alain will assume the currently vacant role of executive vice president of services, as well as, the chief strategy officer.
The transaction brings together the strength of Benchmark Consulting business process improvement and application development expertise with Castor’s strength in automating the complexities of application porting and migration. This combination provides customers with a robust process for optimizing and automating application enhancement.

Benchmark Consulting Announces NEW CFO
Atlanta, Georgia - Benchmark Consulting, a leading business process and application transformation company, today named Shay Weaver to the position of chief financial officer effective immediately. Ms. Weaver has been Benchmark's corporate controller since January 2006.
"Shay Weaver is a very experienced and skilled finance executive. She has done an excellent job in her current position as corporate controller and I expect more of the same as she transitions into the CFO role at Benchmark Consulting," said Benchmark Consulting chairman and chief executive officer. "Shay has more than 15 years experience in finance positions and has played key roles in Public Accounting, Brokerage, and Capital Management. Benchmark Consulting Names Richard Rector Executive VP of Sales
Atlanta, Georgia - Benchmark Consulting today announced that Richard Rector has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales. With its recent acquisition of Canadian-based Castor Technologies, Benchmark Consulting will be restructuring its Canadian Sales Organization. In his new role, Mr. Rector will be responsible for Benchmark Consulting’s global sales effort, as well as, the initial integration of the Canadian sales group. Richard previously was responsible for North American sales where, for the past two years, revenue has grown 200%.
Richard brings to Benchmark Consulting over 25 years of enterprise sales experience in areas such as technology and IT consulting services. Prior to joining Benchmark Consulting, Richard held executive sales responsibility with Adea Solutions, a global IT consulting firm. He also served as Sr. Vice President of Sales for Certified Staffing based in Houston, Texas.
